This month we are celebrating the much-anticipated opening of White Christmas, the Musical as part of our Ogunquit Playhouse at The Music Hall series. This year, C&J Bus Lines partnered with us as the Presenting Sponsor of this series and I recently had an opportunity to ask C&J’s President Jim Jalbert more about this partnership—as well as his own favorite moment from this holiday classic—for this month’s Sponsor Spotlight. If you haven’t had a chance to see Jim and his brother Walter in C&J’s White Christmas video challenge, be sure to check it out here!Read the rest of this entry »
With Thanksgiving behind us and the Holidays approaching I am feeling reflective on my first year working here at The Music Hall. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work for a non-profit that is so dedicated to our local community.Read the rest of this entry »

Ashleigh Tucker Pollock and I got a chance to take an icy dip in the Atlantic this afternoon with the road crew from Warren Miller. The crew, Dan Ohnsman, Sid Howard, Andrew Parker, and Colin Barry spend their fall on the road doing the great work of getting everyone excited about the ski season that is coming downhill at us fast.Monte & Ashleigh post-plunge.
While they are in town, they are not just here for the show. The Portsmouth Polar Plunge is also a food drive for The Rotary Club Thanksgiving Dinner. Every year this crew spends their Thanksgiving on the Seacoast away from their families. While many folks would hole up in their hotel, or pine for the mountains or home, they volunteer their time at the Turkey Dinner. And they have done this without fanfare for the last three years. We are so grateful for a fun bunch that also gives back. Thanks guys!
Catch Warren Miller Chasing Shadows on the big screen tonight, Wednesday Nov. 25 at 6 or 9pm. More info/tickets

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Plaid Friday, it’s the small business version of Black Friday. Where the focus is supporting local stores instead of just shopping at the big box stores.Read the rest of this entry »
